1:87 Flatbed lorry (Büssing 12.000) - mustard yellow 1951-1954
The gratifying response continues four years after its premiere – the Büssing 12.000 is an automotive milestone in the WIKING story. Now it’s making its début in contemporary mustard yellow. It’s no coincidence that model makers had already miniaturised the impressive original with the large front-drive vehicle remote cab between 1951 and 1954 – the period in which the 12.000 type was produced. The traditional model makers of Berlin had already made an advertising model for the Braunschweig lorry manufacturer in 1951, which went on to enjoy popularity everywhere from then on – known by all as the Büssing Trambus with transparent roof and visible interior! In future, the Büssing 12.000 would count as a modeller’s milestone in the WIKING story, accessible to everyone. At the beginning of the 1950s, WIKING master model maker Alfred Kedzierski was the first to miniaturise the legendary Büssing 12.000 on a scale of 1:87.
