The model train manufacturer Rivarossi was founded in 1945 by Alessandro Rossi in Italy. Rivarossi has become known in particular for its streetcars and its US locomotive models for H0 gauge. However, in addition to Italian and American model railroads, the manufacturer's product line is also heavily influenced by German, Austrian, and Dutch locomotives and cars.
European and North American model railroaders are at the same time pleased with the variety and faithfulness to the original of Rivarossi model trains. The 1:87 scale H0 steam locomotives, electric locomotives, diesel locomotives and railcars originate from eras II to VI and impress with their outstanding attention to detail.
Since the takeover by the large British model railway manufacturer Hornby, to which the Arnold brand also belongs, numerous revised and new models for the H0 scale appear from year to year.
