The Medium Tank M4 (Sherman) is a US medium tank developed and used during World War II. Designed to be produced in large numbers, it was continuously improved and produced in numerous versions throughout the war.
The M4A3 version with Ford V8 engine (GAA V8 with 450, later 500 hp), rolled steel hull with slightly modified tail, from 1944 change of hull bow slope and installation of wet stowage, new turret and armament, final version as first with HVSS. This version was also used by the US forces in the Korean War.
