1:35 Scale WWII Figure Set German Panzer Grenardiers
During the Second World War, the infantry units in the Panzer Divisions and Panzer Grenadier Divisions of the Wehrmacht were first designated as Panzer Grenadiers. The formation of the Panzergrenadiere was significantly influenced by Heinz Guderian, who played a decisive role in the conception of operational tank units during the World War.
At the beginning of the war, the Panzergrenadier units were subordinated to the Panzer Divisions and Light Divisions under the designation Riflemen or Cavalry Riflemen and were motorised with trucks. In the early days, the infantry operating in close association with the main battle tanks were the Krad-Schützen, made mobile by the armour with sidecar wheels, which are considered the actual forerunners of the Panzergrenadiere.
