The floor model is a recreation of the JGSDF MCV Type 16, which was released in 2017. Bolted steel turret and hull use modular armour that can withstand frontal assaults from 20-30 mm class guns and portable anti-tank weapons. Thanks to its 570 hp engine, the 26-tonne Type 16 achieves a top speed of around 100 km/h and a considerable range. It looks like it will give the JGSDF units a significant boost as the launch progresses.
