Von 1988 bis 1998 wurden 234 Zweisystem-Elektrolokomotiven der Serie BB 26000 an die Französischen Staatseisenbahnen geliefert. Die unter dem Kunstnamen „Sybic“ bekannten Maschinen werden in ganz Frankreich vor allen Zuggattungen eingesetzt. Diese Mehrzwecklokomotiven erreichen eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 200 km/h und sind in der Lage eine Leistung von 5.600 kW zu erbringen.
