-Novelty 2021: without a brakeman´s cab
In 1899 the Saxon State Railroad began building purely 2nd class cars, which were intended for passenger and express train service. The arrangement and the number of compartments and toilets determined the length of the car body, as with the previous cars. The wagons had a total of eight compartments of the upholstered class and three toilets each between the seating compartments.
The lighting was achieved by means of gas containers placed under the car. The bogie corresponded to the Prussian standard design with pressed side walls. The heating was powered by steam from the locomotives. Some cars received raised brakeman´s cabs. After the Second World War, the wagons remained in different parts of Europe and were even used in isolated cases until the 1970s.
