Prototype:
In 1971/1972, the German State Railroad put 37 car transport cars for passenger trains of the type DDm from the French company ANF into operation. After reunification, the cars were transferred to the Deutsche Bahn AG fleet where they were operated as DDm 916. They were used in the motorail trains together with the DDm 915. Many cars were later sold abroad or to private companies. In addition to the German variants, there are also French, Spanish, Dutch and Czech variants.
