This generated a great response: German Railroad Deutsche Bahn (DB) sent an ICE 3 - the Powered Railcar Train Tz 304 Munich with the two power cars 403 022-7 and 403 504-4 - onto the rails on July 9, 2021. Instead of the typical red stripe, this train has a stripe in rainbow colours.
With this, Deutsche Bahn wants to set an example for diversity and tolerance, for respectful and trusting cooperation, and for an appreciative treatment of the diversity of all people. The train carries this very special message as the Railbow ICE through the entire country.
We can only endorse this message for diversity, tolerance and and respectful interaction. Märklin and TRIX will offer this special ICE to H0 model railroad enthusiasts.
We are pleased to be able to present this train already now. Like its prototype, the Märklin Rainbow ICE 3 with item no. 37784 has a stripe in rainbow colours instead of the red one. The 5-part basic unit will be equipped with an mfx+ digital decoder, extensive sound functions, factory-installed LED interior lighting, long-distance headlights and pickup shoe changeover.
For the prototypical extension to an 8-part unit, we offer the 43739 add-on car set, also equipped with factory-installed LED interior lighting.
