Übersetzt aus dem Sanskrit bedeutet der Name so viel wie „Ausdehnung ohne Grenzen“. Nach einem schnellen inländischen Wachstum startete Vistara 2020 mit Auslieferung ihrer ersten Boeing 787 Dreamliner mit Langstreckenflügen, unter anderem nach London, Paris und Frankfurt.
