1/35th scale kit, King Tiger with Porsche turret.
The shape of the armour on the Tiger II - as on the Panther - was sloped throughout, while the Tiger I with its partly vertical armour was more similar to the older German tanks. The same applied to the more powerful armament, which was only the same in calibre. Developed from summer 1942 onwards, 492 units were built until the end of the war, with production overlapping at times with that of the earlier Tiger variant.
The floor model is a replica of the German Königstiger, which was produced by Porsche. The TAMIYA model kit version puts emphasis on a high fitting accuracy as well as on details such as open or closed turret and fuselage hatches or the exact reproduction of the interwoven wheel set-up, which is represented in a concise manner.
