Airfix - Planes (Kits)
1:144 kit, Concorde Prototype (BOAC)
The British Concorde 002 (G-BSST), of which two prototypes were built to prove the feasibility of supersonic flight for the civilian market, made its maiden flight at Filton on 9 April 1969 and later that year flew with its French counterpart at the Paris Airshow, where both made their debut.
Ultimately, Concorde was only operated commercially by Air France and British Airways, and although only 20 aircraft were built, it was always the ultimate way to fly and a first-class service for the rich and famous.
